Overview
Applicants should meet the program’s baseline qualifications before applying. The funder (JVS SoCal) supports students who are attending accredited U.S. postsecondary institutions and who demonstrate genuine financial need.
Eligibility Criteria
- Self-identify as Jewish.
- Be at least 16 years old.
- Have lived as a legal, permanent resident of Los Angeles County for a minimum of three years.
- Be a U.S. citizen or a lawful permanent resident (Green Card holder).
- Be accepted to or currently enrolled at an accredited college, university, or vocational school in the United States (public or private).
- Be enrolled full-time. JVS SoCal will not provide funding for part-time study, summer-only programs, gap years, Yeshiva programs, or attendance at unaccredited institutions.
- Maintain minimum academic standards: a per-term GPA of at least 2.7 for undergraduate students and at least 3.0 per term for graduate students.
- Demonstrate verifiable financial need.
