Om & Shanti Scholarship

Overview
The Om & Shanti Scholarship awards multi-year funding—renewable for up to four years—of as much as $6,000 per student each year to graduating seniors from public high schools located in Dallas or Collin counties, Texas. Applicants who plan to enroll at an accredited college or university within Texas will be given preference.
Who is eligible
- Must be a graduating senior from a public high school in Dallas or Collin counties, Texas.
- Must have a cumulative high school GPA of at least 2.0 on a 4.0 scale.
- Preference is given to students intending to pursue a degree at an accredited Texas institution.
How recipients are chosen
Selection takes into account academic record, involvement in school and community activities, demonstrated leadership potential, and financial need. If candidates are tied in overall merit, priority will be granted to students who are the first in their family to attend college.
Application requirements
- Complete the FAFSA before submitting your application so the Financial Need section of the Universal Application can be completed.
- Submit a required personal essay.
- Provide two letters of recommendation.
Renewal conditions (award maintenance)
To continue receiving the scholarship each year, recipients must:
- Maintain a minimum college GPA of 2.00.
- Be enrolled as a full-time student.

- Award amount: Multiple scholarships, up to $6,000 per student per year, renewable for up to four years.
- Application deadline: March 1, 2026.
